TRANSFORMER OF GAS INSULATING EVAPORATION COOLING TYPE

PURPOSE:To improve cooling efficiency and to miniaturize a transformer by a coiling and cooling process by surrounding a center portion of a low pressure coil and the upper and the lower portions of a high pressure coil with an insulating cooling medium storage vessel having a hole for dripping a cooling medium. CONSTITUTION:A cooling medium storage container 11 which is composed of sectional U-shaped insulating material having a hole 11a for dripping a cooling medium on a bottom and whose upper surface is opened accommodates a center portion 2a of the low pressure coil 2 in its inside. After a part of a cooling medium 7 dripped from a cooling medium conduit 6 cools through an evaporation process the upper portion of the low pressure coil 2 and then the center portion 2a of the low pressure coil 2, it is sprinkled over the lower portion of the low pressure coil 2 from the hole 11a for dripping the cooling medium of th bottom of the container 11. The sectional U-shaped cooling medium storage containers 12 and 13 having respectively the holes 12a or 13a for dripping the cooling medium on the bottom whose upper surface is opened accommodates the upper portion 3a or the lower portion 3b of the high pressure coil 3 respectively in them. the cooling medium 7 dripped to cool the upper portion 3a through a boiling process, is sprinkled over the center portion of the high pressure coil 3 from the hole 12a for dripping the cooling medium of the bottom for evaporative cooling, and cools the lower portion 3b of the lower portion through a boiling process.
