PURPOSE:To obtain an electrifier of long life, by electrifying an electrode wire with the electrifier utilizing ice, in the case of wire cut electric discharge machining. CONSTITUTION:An electrifier provides a vessel 7, through which an electrode wire penetrates, and the vessel is charged inside with a mixed material formed by an electrifying material 72 of particle, fine piece, etc. of conductive metallic carbon or the like and a liquid medium 73 of water or the like. An electronic refrigerator 75, being provided outside the vessel 71, freezes the liquid mixed material in the inside. The machining electrode is electrified by a lead wire 9 via the metallic vessel. The electrifier, surrounding the electrode wire 1 by the frozen liquid medium 73, enables the electrode wire 1 to be electrified by a machining pulse from the lead wire 9 through the electrifying material 72 uniformly dispersed and interposed. |
