PURPOSE:To improve error correcting capability to the best by selecting whether error correction should be executed or not in accordance with the signal intensity of a carrier. CONSTITUTION:The output of an intermediate frequency amplifying means 1 is inputted to a frequency demodulating means 2, and a video signal and a PSK signal are outputted. A PSK demodulating means demodulates the PSK signal to a digital signal. The output of the demodulating means 3 is inputted to a descrambling means 4 for dispersing the error, and the output is inputted to an error detecting means 5, and error correcting data is outputted to an error correcting means 6. A delay means 7 delays data to be corrected by a time corresponding to the number of bits required for generation of error correcting data. A comparing means 10 compares the output level of a level detecting means 8 and that of a reference voltage generating means 9 with each other and determines whether the error correction in the error correcting means 6 should be executed or not in accordance with the output of the means 10. |
