PURPOSE:To prevent thoroughly the twist of a square steel emerging from a final finishing roll by holding alternately orthogonally the mutually opposed two faces of the square steel by means of plural pieces of rolls. CONSTITUTION:Horizontal rolls 3, vertical rolls 4, and horizontal rolls 3' are alternately disposed behind a final finishing mill 11, and the mutually opposed faces ad and bc, as well as ab and cd of a square steel 2 are successively held. About 3-5 rows of rolls are adequate. The twist of the steel 2 is thus prevented, thereby the quality is improved and the production cost is reduced. |
