<p>Coupling or device for the quick clamping between an element of a machine-tool (MA) and a holding system such as a tool-holder (P), or of a chucking device such as a chuck (M), notable in that it comprises at least one irreversible locking system and, possibly, a system for taking up play, with irreversible locking, it being possible for the play to be taken up when exchanging one of the said systems for another system, the locking being made irreversible by means comprising contact surfaces (1061 and 1072) which, in the blocked position, interact in the locking and unlocking position with corresponding contact surfaces of the elements controlling the locking and the unlocking, with each generatrix of the said contact surfaces being inclined by an angle between 3 DEG and 14 DEG with respect to a line parallel to the longitudinal axis, or to a line perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the coupling, the value of this angle (3 DEG to 14 DEG ) defining the considerable increase in the locking force and ensuring its irreversibility.
