PURPOSE:To speed up data transfer and also to relieve the load of a microcomputer by providing an input/output circuit interfacing with the microcomputer to a dialer LSI. CONSTITUTION:The dialer LSI100 is provided with a parallel input/output circuit 3 and a serial input/output circuit 4 acting as an interface circuit with the microcomputer. The LSI100 has five operating modes such as parallel transmission and reception mode, serial transmission and reception mode and keyboard input mode. For example, when the mode is selected to the parallel reception mode, the parallel input/output circuit 5 receives parallel data from the microcomputer. When the content is dial data, it is written in a memory 11 and when the content is command data, the operation such as redialing is executed. In case of the parallel transmission mode, the dial data in the memory 11 is outputted to the microcomputer via the parallel input/output circuit 3. |
