PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture at a low cost and improve reliability by covering the outer surface of a core member which is formed into the shape of port and possesses heat resistance and contraction performance, with a metal covering film. CONSTITUTION:A core member 1 is formed from the fibrous collected body made of the material having high heat resistance and high contraction performance, e.g., alumina so as to be fitted to the shape of the port part of a cylinderhead 2, e.g., the shape of an exhaust port 3. A relatively thin metal film 4 is formed onto the whole surface of said core member 1 through the introducing into the molten metal. The covering metal material is the material having high heat resistance, e.g., heat-resisting stainless steel. The port liner 5 thus obtained is set into a metal mold integrally with a sand core, etc., and arranged in casted state into the cylinder head 2 through pouring of molten metal. Therefore, manufacture is facilitated at a low cost and reliability can be improved. |
