PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having improved thermal stability, especially first discoloration property and transparency, by compounding a spiro-orthoester compound to a halogen-containing resin. CONSTITUTION:A halogen-containing resin is compounded with a spiro-orthoester compound of formul a (R and R' are hydrocarbon group; l is 0 or 1) having spiro-orthoester group, and preferably with a metallic compound.
