PURPOSE:To fill gas in cylinder uniformly while to increase the exhausting speed by arranging intake and exhaust valves coaxially with the cylinder thereby increasing the valve area. CONSTITUTION:An intake or exhaust valve 2 is arranged in the center of the cylinder head 3 coaxially with the cylinder 4 while an exhaust or intake valve 1 is arranged coaxially. Consequently, the valve area can be increased to improve the intake/exhaust efficiency. Since gas is filled through an intake port coaxial with the cylinder 4, it is filled uniformly. Furthermore, the combustion chamber can be made flat and the compression ratio can be increased. |
