PURPOSE:To form an image without the intervention of a latent image and to reduce the size of a recording device greatly by charging the reverse surface of a transfer material which contacts a toner layer on a toner conveyer belt electrostatically by a charge implanting means according to an image signal. CONSTITUTION:Toner is compressed by a toner supply member 5 to form a thin film on the toner conveyer belt 1 and its thickness is controlled by a doctor blade 6. Recording paper P contacts the top of the toner thin layer and an array of stylus electrodes 8 is arranged at its downstream side. In this constitution, the stylus electrodes 8 give a charge having the opposite polarity of the toner charge to the recording paper P according to image information to stick toner, which is fixed as a visible image. Thus, the image is formed without the intervention of a latent image and two processes of development and transfer are omitted to reduce the device in size greatly. |
