PURPOSE:To improve the rate of operation of a machine tool further increase rigidity of a spindle and improve its machining ability, by fitting a spindle nose part in a Morse taper to be fixed to an end of the spindle and integrally forming in its intermediate part a power transmission gear so as to easily exchange a sealing member. CONSTITUTION:A hollow pipe shaped spindle nose 90, forming a small contoured part 91 in the intermediate part, forms an internal peripheral surface in the rear from the part 91 in a Morse taper 92 while the internal peripheral surface in the front in a straight cylindrical surface. This nose 90, opposing a rear part key groove 93 to a semicircular driving key 102 embedded in the end part peripheral surface of a spindle 52, is fitted to the end part of the spindle 52, and the nose 90, inserting a hexagonal holed bolt 97 from the end part to be tightened to an internal thread 98 formed in the end surface of the spindle 52, is integrally connected with the spindle 52. Accordingly, the spindle, enabling a sealing member 88, 89, when it is replaced due to its wearing, to be replaced only by taking out a machining tool and the nose 90, can reduce a time for stopping a machine tool. While the spindle 52, integrally forming a driven gear 63 in the vicinity of a front vertical wall 32, increases rigidity of the spindle and improves its machining ability. |
