PURPOSE:To obtain a flow cell having good sealing properties and free from curved flow and enabled in continuous measurement, by providing a curved surface having radius of curvature same to or less than that of the sensing surface of a detector to the part where flow cell is contacted with the detector and constituting the seal of the contacted part of both of them from a membrane pervious to a substance to be examined. CONSTITUTION:In a flow cell using an oxygen electrode, various iron measuring electrodes and an enzyme electrode, for example, an asymmetric membrane comprising a skin layer and a sponge layer made of acetyl cellulose is interposed between the acting surface of the hydrogen peroxide electrode 12 of the oxygen electrode flow cell and the surface 15 of said cell to seal both surfaces 13, 15 so as to contact the same through a curved surface having radius of curvature same to or less than that of the acting surface 13. By this method, perfect sealing is performed without using a seal member and a flow cell prevented from the leakage of a liquid from a flow passage and generating no stagnation and easy to manufacture and enabled in continuous measurement is obtained. |
