PURPOSE:To increase the number of beams in excess of number of repeaters of a universe station by applying transmission/stop of a transmission wave and switching of a transmission frequency synchronously with the changeover of a reception switch of the universal station and applying switching of a reception frequency synchronously with the switching of a transmission switch. CONSTITUTION:The universe station is provided with a multi-beam antenna having M-set of down link beams nearly coincident with M-set of up link beams, M-set of up link beams, N-set of repeaters (N is an integral number being >=2 and less than M), a reception switching means 12 switching the up link beam and the input terminal of the repeaters periodically at the 1st period, and a transmission switching means 16 switching the down link beams and the output terminal of the repeaters periodically at the 2nd period. M-set or over of earth stations are provided, which make transmission intermittently at the 1st time band assigned synchronously with the switching of the reception switch means 12 and make reception intermittently at the 2nd time band assigned synchronously with the switching of the transmission switching means. |
