PURPOSE:To produce the titled molding excellent in moldability and improved in the mechanical properties of a molding, by pressure-molding a specified amic acid-containing polyimide resin powder. CONSTITUTION:A polyamic acid obtained by reacting a tetracarboxylic acid derivative with a diamine in a solvent is ring-closed at 150-200 deg.C to obtain an amic acid-containing polyimide resin of a rate of imide ring closure of 40-95%, consisting mainly of repeating units of the formula (wherein m, n and l are each 0 or a positive integer, Ar is a tetravalent aromatic residue having at least one six-membered carbon ring and Ar' is a bivalent aromatic or aliphatic residue). Apowdered resin obtained by grinding the above produced resin together with, if necessary, additives such as a fluorocarbon resin and graphite is pressure-molded at a pressure >=500kgf/cm<2>. |
