The invention relates to a step-down switched-mode regulator which converts an input voltage (UE) into an output voltage (UA) which can be picked off on an output capacitor (CA), it being possible to determine the value of the output voltage (UA) via a comparator (V) to which the output voltage (UA) and a reference voltage (UR) are applied, and which switches a switching transistor (T1) on and off. According to the invention, a resistor (R2) (via which the reference voltage (UR) is applied to the comparator (V)) and a capacitor (C) are provided, via which a portion of the voltage at the output of the comparator (V) is coupled back to its input as a hysteresis voltage, to which input the reference voltage (UR) is applied. <IMAGE>
