PURPOSE:To measure automatically and easily the number of cells even if the cells have low contrast and the contrast is obtainable only with the contour thereof by moving a lens barrel by an automatic driving device in such a manner that the images at the focus and near the focus are obtd. as cell images and integrating the resulted plural images. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted of the lens barrel 1 of an optical microscope, the automatic driving device 2 for moving automatically and vertically the lens barrel 1, a TV camera 3, a memory 4 for contg. the photographed microscopic images and an image processing unit 5, etc. The lens barrel 1 is first moved by the device 2 so as to obtain the images at the focus and near the focus as the cells in the case of measuring the number of cells by using the microscope. The resulted plural images are contained into the memory 4 and are integrated by the unit 5, by which the automatic measurement of the number of the cells is made with the improved contrast of the cells having the low contrast. |
