PURPOSE:To improve the rationalization of cylinder assembling operation by inspecting electric characteristics in a cylinder in the middle of a lower cylinder assembling process in response to a signal from a false signal generating substrate. CONSTITUTION:A transmitted high-frequency signal is outputted to a connector 7 for output through the electromagnetic induction coupling of a lower rotary transformer 5a and observed through a measuring instrument such as an oscilloscope to detect electric characteristics of a defect in connection between lead wires 14 and 9 in cylinders 4 and 10. Namely, when the high-frequency signal having a specific voltage level is not outputted to the output connector 7, the breaking or short-circuiting of a coil wound around a magnetic head 15, a defect in connection of a lead wire 17, or the cracking of a relay substrate 13 many occur. Thus, characteristics of cylinders for VTR are inspected without using any video tape for testing, so the inspection is performed right before the end of the assembly of the upper and lower cylinders 4 and 10 without waiting for the final assembling operation. Consequently, the productivity is improved. |
