PURPOSE:To improve durability of a facing in a lockup clutch, by providing an accumulator, which can control a discharge quantity of oil in a drain oil path from a lockup oil chamber. CONSTITUTION:If a lockup control valve 32 is switched for actuating a lockup, the pressure of oil in a lockup chamber 4d acts on a drain oil path 72. The pressure of oil in the drain oil path 72, acting on an accumulator 50, decreases till force by a spring 54 is balanced with the force given to a piston 52 by the pressure of oil in the drain oil path 72. Next, the oil in the drain oil path is discharged from an orifice 76, and the piston returns holding the drain oil path to a predetermined pressure. Pressing force of the piston in the accumulator can be freely set by selecting the spring 54, in this way, the clutch capacity of a lockup clutch and its connection time can be freely set. |
