PURPOSE:To prevent a tape guide from being tilted even when a projected boss above/under a cassette half is deviated more or less by designing that a diameter of a root of the boss under the half is larger than the diameter of the root of the boss above the half. CONSTITUTION:The diameter d1 of the root of the boss 3a projected from the upper part 1 of the half is made smaller than the diameter d2 of the root of the boss 3b projected from the lower part 2 of the half, and in manufacturing a tape set, the tape guide is inserted to the lower part 2 of the half and then the upper part 1 of the half is assembled while being matched to the lower part. Thus, the tilt of tape guide caused by the position deviation of the projected boss for fixing the tape guide of the upper and lower parts of the cassette half is prevented. Then improper running of the tape caused by the tilted tape guide is improved. Further, the tolerance of the position of the boss is relaxed in the product design.
