An all-wheel drive vehicle (1) is described, the parking brake circuit (5) of which acting on the rear wheels (8) switches on the front wheel drive by way of the servo cylinder (49) when the parking brake is applied. A considerable increase of the force acting at a tangent to the ground is hereby achieved, which holds the vehicle at a standstill. This advantage is of particular benefit when the vehicle is unladen. <IMAGE>
