FOLDING TYPEWRITING DEVICE

Typewriting device for a portable typewriter or printer. This device is constructed so that a frame of a device body can be folded so as to obtain a dust-proofing effect, render a dust-proof cover unnecessary and reduce the manufacturing cost. The device is formed of an input body (7) provided with an input portion (6), and a typewriting body (4) provided with a typewriting portion (3). The input body (7) and typewriting body (4) are joined to a shaft so that the input body (7) and typewriting body (4) can be moved pivotally with respect to each other, and handles (29) are fixed unitarily to both ends of this shaft in such a manner that the handles (29) can be turned therearound. When the typewriting device is not in use and in a folded state, the input portion (6) and typewriting portion (3) are positioned on the inner side thereof.
