PURPOSE:To control steering sensitivity up to the optimum state by varying the relative relationship between the steering assist power caused by a steering assist power generating mechanism and the steering assist power caused by a steering reaction force generating mechanism according to the flowrate ratio from a variable orifice valve. CONSTITUTION:A variable valve 2 to which the pressure fluid is supplied from a pump 1 is comprised by sliding and displacing a spool 21 by means of a solenoid 22 whose current application is controlled through a control unit 7 according to the output of a car speed sensor 8 and a steering angle sensor 9 so that the said fluid can be made to branch into output ports 212 and 213 and be output. The output port 212 is connected to the ports 311 and 312 of a rotary valve 3 and the output port 213 is connected to the ports 411 and 412 of a steering resistance valve 4. Besides, the steering assist power is generated by an energization cylinder 5 according to the pressure fluid supplied from a rotary valve 3 and the steering reaction force is generated by a steering reaction force generating mechanism 14 according to the pressure fluid supplied from the steering resistance valve 4. |
