PURPOSE:To prevent carrying belts from meandering and to suppress the generation of shift of a photosensitive material from image receiving paper during carrying by arranging chains in parallel with the carrying direction of two carrying belts and locking the carrying belts to the chain. CONSTITUTION:A heat developing device 1 presses a photosensitive material by upper and lower carrying belts 2, 3 and forms heat carriers to carry the photosensitive material. The chains 11, 12 are rotated in parallel with the carrying direction of the carrying belt 3 respectively. The carrying belt 3 can be locked so as to be pulled by screws set up screw holes 15, 16 formed on locking members 13, 14 fixed on one end of respective chains 11, 12. Since both the sides of the carrying belt 3 are locked by the chains 11, 12 driven in the carrying direction, the carrying belt 3 is rotated together with the chains 11, 12 while receiving strong tension.
