PURPOSE:To make an unmanned quenching car and to improve operation stability, by controlling the traveling speed of the quenching car having red hot coke by the pushing speed signal of a pusher rod of an extruding machine, so that the coke is uniformly piled in the quenching car. CONSTITUTION:The pusher rod 5 is advanced, and pushes formed coke in the chamber furnace 2. When the coke 15 compressed in a cake state is passed through the guide gage 16 and the front of the rod 5 reaches the starting point of coke falling, the coke starts falling in the box 9 of the quenching car 8, and the quenching car 8 starts simultaneously to travel with the coke. The pushing speed of the rod 5 is detected by the detector 6, the signal is sent to the ground signal transmission device 13 by the oscillator 7, further sent from the extruding machine 3 to the receiver 12 in the quenching car 8, and inputted in the speed regulator 11. Consequently, the traveling driving gear 10 of the quenching car 8 is regulated by the device 11 after the quenching car having the coke is started to travel.
