PURPOSE:To collect irregularly fed paper sheets stably by waiting an impeller at the collecting position to receive the first paper sheet to be fed while rotating the wheel upon passage of paper sheet through a sensor to wait and receiving in next groove. CONSTITUTION:The first paper sheet P passed through a read-out unit 3 is fed through a carrying unit 5 to a collecting unit 6 then fed into the groove A of waiting impeller 4 and collected. Upon arriving of paper sheet P from the carrying unit 5 through the read-out unit 3 to a ticket sensor 7, a signal processing circuit 8 will receive a signal and transmit to an impeller drive circuit 9. In accordance with a drive pattern prepared in said drive circuit 9, an impeller drive unit 22 capable of control of rotary angle will rotate the impeller 4 by single groove or from groove B to A. Then the second paper sheet P carried through the carrying unit 5 to the collecting unit 6 is fed into a groove waiting at the position B of the impeller 4. Similarly, following paper sheets are collected stably one by one into the groove of the impeller 4.
