PURPOSE:The titled composition rapidly curable at high temperatures and excellent in thermal cycling resistance, comprising a novolak epoxy resin, a novolak phenolic resin, a pyridine derivative, an inorganic filler, etc. CONSTITUTION:A novolak epoxy resin (A) (e.g., phenol novolak epoxy resin) is mixed with a novolak phenolic resin (B) as a curing agent, in an amount to provide a ratio of the number of the phenolic hydroxyl groups in component B to that of the epoxy groups in component A or 0.5-1.5, 0.1-10wt%, based on the total of A and B, pyridine derivative (C) (e.g., phenylpyridine) as a cure accelerator, 150-400pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. resin, inorganic filler (D) (e.g., fused silica powder) and, optionally, a mold release such as natural wax, a flame retardant such as Sb2O3, a colorant, a silane coupling agent, etc.
