PURPOSE:To attain the transmission/reception of data between subscribers for each branch amplifier by adding a frequency comparator to a one-way transmission CATV system. CONSTITUTION:A frequency converter 2 is set within a branch amplifier 1. The ascending signal (a) of 120MHz, for example, transmitted from a handset of a subscriber 3a is transmitted through a branch line 4 and supplied to a frequency converter 2 via a branch terminal BR2, a 4-distributor 5 and a directional coupler 6a successively. Thus the signal (a) is converted into a frequency 150MHz, for example, and transmitted to subscribers 3a, 3b... as the descending signal (b) via a directional coupler 6b, the coupler 6a, the distributor 5 and the terminal BR2 respectively.
