PURPOSE:To contrive a reduction in size and simplification of construction of a printer, by feeding a paper by utilizing a motor for driving a rotary wheel. CONSTITUTION:When an end of an interlocking member 7 is depressed downward by an operating piece 4A, a ratchet pawl 6 movably fitted to the other end of the member 7 is moved upward to feed a ratchet wheel 5 forward by one tooth, whereby a platen 3 is rotated, and the paper is fed by an amount corresponding to the forward rotation of the wheel 5. Therefore, when the operating piece 4A is rotated plural times and the member 7 is moved up and down plural times, the ratchet wheel 5 is rotated forward by a corresponding amount to thereby feed the paper. Accordingly, since the paper is fed by utilizing the motor for driving the rotary wheel, the need for a driving motor used exclusively for feeding the paper can be eliminated, and the paper feeder can be reduced in size and simplified in construction. |
