PURPOSE:To obtain a microcapsule excellent in the retentivity of a core substance, by using a melamine resin precondensate, of which the formaldehyde substitution degree is 40-100%, the alkylation degree is 80-100% and the hydrophobicity degree is 4-20, as a precondensate. CONSTITUTION:A melamine resin precondensate, of which the hydrophobicity degree is 5-12, such as a melamine resin precondensate based on triethoxytrimethylol melamine is compounded with 100pts.wt. of a hydrophobic core substance in an amount of 2-50pts.wt. as melamine and the resulting compound is held at a temp. of 40 deg.C or more for 1hr or more. In emulsifying the melamine resin precondensate in a hydrophilic medium, an anionic, nonionic or cationic emulsifier can be used as an emulsifier. |
