<p>The combined heat pump (2) and hot water boiler (1) are both coupled to the same water circulation circuit, with ON-OFF switching controlled by temp. detectors monitoring the external temp and the water circulation temp. The heat pump (2) is only brought into operation when a given outside temp. is reached. The feed and return lines (1a, 2a; 1b, 2b) for both the heat pump (2) and the boiler (1) are directly coupled together with the temp. monitor (11) in the return line (2b) to the heat pump (2) switching on the latter independent of the operation of the boiler (1) when a given temp. is exceeded. The boiler is switched on for parallel or alternative operation by a further temp. monitor (12) the heat pump return line (2b) when the temp. drops below a lower threshold.</p> |
