<p>PURPOSE:To reduce water content of waste, to prevent occurrence of harmful gas caused by combustion, and to process plastic-containing waste into a solid fuel, by feeding the plastic-containing waste and slaked lime or quick lime to a kneading and compressing device. CONSTITUTION:Waste containing a large amount of plastic is fed from the feed opening 2 of the kneading and compressing device 1. Meanwhile, slaked lime or quick lime in an amount corresponding to the content of the plastic is fed from the outlets 3a and 4a of the constant delivery feeders 3 and 4, and they are uniformly kneaded at the feeder part 7. In the operation, the plastic is melted by frictional heat, and the blend is then extruded from the tip of the nozzle part 8 to give the cylindrical solid fuel 31, the modified star-shaped solid fuel 41, etc.</p> |
