PURPOSE:To enable an engine stop to be prevented when an engine is in idle operation, by increasing an idle speed when a subflywheel becomes unable to be engaged. CONSTITUTION:When a failure flag is set, that is, when a subflywheel is not engaged, a target idle speed NI is set to a value larger by a value DELTANI than that at normal time. Thereafter, it is decided whether or not a calculated value subtracting the target idle speed NI from an engine speed NE is smaller than the value DELTANI, and if smaller, a control device, increasing an opening of a solenoid opening and closing valve 24 while a quantity of air flowing in a bypass passage 23, increases the engine speed NE. Accordingly, an engine, when it is in idle operation, can both reduce vibration and prevent an engine stop. |
