PURPOSE:To form a flywheel in light weight, by forming a centrifugal pendulum sealing a fluid chamber of the flywheel with fluid and damping a change of torque transmitted to the flywheel. CONSTITUTION:Fluid in a fluid chamber 22, forming a liquid column in a U-tube, is enabled to oscillate in the fluid chamber 22 in accordance with vibration of a flywheel 21. In this way, the flywheel 21, violently exciting the liquid column to be vibrated by a change of torque in an explosion stroke of each cylinder transmitted to the flywheel 21, causes the fluid in the fluid chamber 22 to perform a movement in the peripheral direction acting in a direction cancelling the change of torque. Accordingly, the fluid in the fluid chamber 22, acting as a pendulum type vibration absorber and changing its natural vibrative frequency in accordance with the speed of an engine, performs damping action equivalent to the flywheel when the engine is in normal operation, and the flywheel 21 is formed in light weight. |
