PURPOSE:To obtain a developer superior in positive chargeability and stable against change of circumstances and long-term leaving by adding a metal oxide powder treated with iminosilane as the constituent material of the developer for developing an electrostatic charge image. CONSTITUTION:The positively chargeable developer is incorporated with the metal oxide powder treated with iminosilane as a constituent, and as the metal oxide, SiO2, alumina, and various kinds of them having a particle diameter of 0.1mmu-10mu, preferably, 0.5mmu-1mu are used. The iminosilane to be used for the surface treatment of said powder is represented by the general formula; AmSiBn, A being alkoxy, (m) and (n) being an integer of 1-3 and m+n=4; and B is a hydrocarbon group having an imino group, and it is embodied by (CH3)2C=N(CH2)3Si(OCH3)3, etc. The developer thus obtained can be used for one-component type or binary type developers, indifferent of any development processes. |
