The invention is a de-icing system for airplanes comprising a flushing pad (1) onto which an airplane can be driven, devices (3) for flushing process fluid against the airplane and devices (11, 15, 16) for collecting and leading away the fluid.In order to remove the fluid from the flushing pad quickly and reliably, it is constructed of a flat outer layer (12) of so-called draining asphalt, under which there is a tightly sealing layer (11) that is connected to drain pipes (15) and collects and leads away the process fluid that sinks down through the outer layer (12). Preferably, there is a pump (7) to suck air down through the outer layer so that the water vapour formed is taken along, thereby preventing the formation of a vapour cloud rising from the flushing pad (1).<IMAGE> |
