PURPOSE:To enable a recording paper to be automatically drawn in and enhance operability, by a method wherein a knob connected with a platen shaft support is rotated to separate a bail roller from a platen, and simultaneously, a switch for a motor for feeding a recording paper is turned ON. CONSTITUTION:When a lever 11 is located at a retracted position and a support arm 17 is displaced by oscillation to the side opposite to a roller support 18, a recording paper P is supplied to an upper surface of a pinch roller 2, and when the knob 5 is rotated counterclockwise and the lever 11 is oscillated to a front position, a support shaft 10 is driven to rotate. The arm 17 is displaced by oscillation, the roller support 18 is pushed up rightward, and the pinch roller 2 grips the leading end of the paper P. Then, the switch 14 is turned ON, and the paper P is fed to a predetermined position. With the knob 5 rotated clockwise, the lever 11 is returned to the retracted position, the bail roller 8a presses the paper against the platen 1, and the pinch roller 2 presses the paper against the platen 1 with a weak pressure. |
