PURPOSE:To improve the flux utilizing factor and to augment the luminance by a method wherein the whole configuration of the lens is formed into a bowl form and the peripheral side surface of the lens is formed into a curved surface form, which enables the emitted light from the light-emitting element to optically reflect totally. CONSTITUTION:A light-emitting element 1 is mounted on a metal stem 2 and a lead 3 is brought into contact to the stem 2. The stem 2 is formed into a battery shape with the roughly flat upper surface, the foot parts 2b thereof are made to overhang respectively into a flange form and sealing glass 5 is filled in the interior of the battery-shaped stem 2 and holds a lead 4. A metal cap 7 has a lens 10 in the interior on its front side and the side of the rear end of the metal cap 7 is made to fit in the peripheral surface of the stem 2. the front surface of the lens 10 is roughly flat, the peripheral side surface 11 thereof is formed into a curved surface from and a recessed part 12 with the recessed section is provided in the center-part of the rear surface thereof. The protruded bottom surface 12a of the recessed part is rising in a parabolic curved-surface shape toward the side of the opening part thereof and the peripheral wall 12b of the recessed part is formed into a configuration that the section thereof roughly presents a shark's tooth form. |
