PURPOSE:To prevent a gripper from receiving damage upon the reception of irradiation, by stopping the move of a transfer body when the gripper on said transfer body reaches the outside of an irradiation region. CONSTITUTION:In an irradiation apparatus wherein an article 9 to be irradiated (e.g., printer of ultraviolet curable ink) is gripped by grippers 8 provided to a transfer body consisting of a pair of chains 5 through pivot jigs 6 and a shaft 7 and receives irradiation while moves through an irradiation region 1, the sensor 13 of the grippers 8 is provided at a position outside the irradiation region 1 and, for example, the transfer of the body to be transferred is succeeded even if the stopping signal of the body to be transferred is issued from a switch 17 when the grippers 8 are present in the irradiation region 1 and, when a signal, which shows that the grippers 8 reach the outside of the irradiation region, is transmitted from the sensor 13, the body to be transferred driving motor 16 is stopped by a control part 14. |
