PURPOSE:To increase a twisting speed and working efficiency by providing a potentiometer which is rotationally driven by a fish plate with projections thereby increasing and decreasing the rotating speed of a rotary cage and eliminating automatically dissidence. CONSTITUTION:Optical fiber passage holes 17 and projections 18 to be fitted into optical fiber insertion grooves 19 are provided by plural pieces each to the fish plate 4 with projections. The potentiometer 7 is rotationally driven by the fish plate 4 so as to detect the dissidence of the centers of a spacer 1 and optical fibers 2. The optical fibers 2 let off from a let-off bobbins 10 pass through the fish plate 4 and are inserted into the spiral optical fiber insertion grooves 19 of the spacer 1 by a drawing die 5 and are thereby twisted. The projections 18 of the fish plate 4 enter the insertion grooves 19 of the spacer 1 and the fish plate 4 itself is mechanically floated from a rotary cage 11 by a bearing 6 and therefore the fish plate is rotated synchronously with the pitch of the insertion grooves 19 of the spacer 1. |
