<p>The horn comprises a piston with its actuating rod passing through an end cap on a cylinder housing the piston. The other end of the cylinder carries an end cap provided with a nozzle, specifically upon which an empty sausage casing is mounted for loading with mixt. inserter in the cylinder and extruded through the nozzle. Pref. the piston rod has a rack engaged by a pawl lever to actuate the piston in steps.
