PURPOSE:To obtain inexpensively a suction valve having good valve responsiveness by forming a valve base material from a powdery needle-like crystal having heat resistance and wear resistance and packing a lightweight component having good heat radiatability into the gaps among the needle-like crystals of the valve base material. CONSTITUTION:The powdery needle-like crystal (silicon carbide) having the wear resistance and heat resistance is kneaded to a slurry by setting the quan tity of the ratio at which the volume ratio thereof with respect to the valve to be molded occupies 15-35%. The slurry is molded to the shape of the valve by pressure molding by which the valve base material is obtd. After the valve base material is dried and solidified, the lightweight component having good heat radiatability (aluminum alloy) is heated to about 700 deg.C after setting the same to the quantity of the ratio at which the volume ratio thereof with the valve occupies 85-65%. Said component is thus packed between the needle-like crystals (and on the surfaces thereof) of the valve base material. The suction valve having the small inertial mass and excellent durability and heat resistance is thus obtd.
