PURPOSE:To obtain a telephone set with convenience to memorize a telephone number by providing a means storing a telephone number inputted during talking and displaying the stored telephone number until the start of next talking. CONSTITUTION:When a handset 2 is hooked on from a telephone set main body 1, a control section 3 detects it, informs connection request to an exchange, a call tone is transmitted from the exchange, and when the user uses a pushbutton 4 to depress a telephone number for connection destination. When the called party is called, a call tone is transmitted from the exchange, the opposite party responds thereto and talking is started. In this case, the control section 3 disconnects the signal of the pushbutton 4 from a talking circuit and connects it to a display device 5. When the user applies number guide and inputs the number taught by a guide through the depression of the pushbutton 4, then this number is displayed on the display device 5 and stored in a memory of the control section 3. When the handset 2 is hooked on after the end of talking, the number is displayed on the display device 5, whether or not the number is stored in the memory is discriminated and the number display is continued until the timer is over.
