PURPOSE:To make it possible to widely open an engine room, by supporting a top panel at two points by means of the upper link of parallel links pivotally attached to a vehicle body panel, by hinging one of two support points to the top panel and by setting the other point on the panel. CONSTITUTION:The front end of a top panel 1 which is closably supported by means of parallel links 11 is made into resilient contact with the top end section 15 of a front cover for an engine room 9a through a resilient member 13 upon closing of the penel as shown by the solid line, and the other end thereof is made in resilient contact with the opened flange section 17 of an engine hood through a resilent member 19. Meanwhile, the parallel links 11 are composed of front and rear links 21, 23 and an upper link 29 pivotally attached to the top ends 25, 26 of the links 21, 27. Further, the lower ends of links 21, 23 are pivotally attached to a bracket secured to a front cover 31 at points 33, 35, and the front pivotal support 25 section of the parallel links 11 is hinged at a point 41 to a hinge bracket 39 laid on the bottom surface of the top panel 1. |
