PURPOSE:To produce the titled fiber resistant to the lowering of antistaticity caused by the thermal oxidative degradation in processing, at a low cost, by carrying out a sheath-core composite spinning of the fiber using a mixture of a blocked polyether amide composition and a polyester as the core and a polyester as the sheath, under specific condition. CONSTITUTION:A core-component polymer composed of a mixture of a blocked polyether amide composition and a polyester is introduced through the spinneret inlet hole 1, metered in the metering hole 3, joined at the joining part 4 with the sheath component polymer composed of a polyester and introduced through the spinneret inlet 2, and the composite stream is extruded through the hole 5 to obtain a sheath-core composite fiber. In the above process, the spinning is carried out under a condition satisfying the formula 5<= (back pressure of the core component metering hole, kg/cm<2>) <=50 and 5<= (melt residence time of core component, min) <=50 at the same time.
