PURPOSE:To obtain an alloy having a desired composition contg. finely dispersed metallic oxide by mixing solid fine chips of a compound consisting of the 1st metal and oxygen with the 2nd metal which is baser than the 1st metal and by alloying them. CONSTITUTION:A compound consisting of the 1st metal and oxygen, that is, the oxide or composite oxide of the 1st metal is crushed to fine chips, and the 2nd metal which is baser than the 1st metal is melted. The molten metal is mixed with the fine chips, and the 2nd metal is oxidized with oxygen in the compound. Thus, an alloy having a desired composition contg. the finely dispersed oxide of the 1st metal is obtd.
