PURPOSE:To set the order of collation with the priority given to the sorting of higher frequency by using the count value of each counter means set in response to each standard pattern as the index of frequency with which the corresponding standard pattern is quote and performing the automatic rearrangement of the standard pattern based on said frequency index. CONSTITUTION:Buffer registers 34 and 36 load the data on the character features of a standard pattern in a dictionary memory 31 and hold them tempo rarily. While buffer registers 33 and 35 hold the contents, i.e., the count values of the counter areas corresponding to the standard patterns which are buffed by the registers 34 and 36 respectively. a value comparator 38 compares the count values buffer by registers 33 and 35 with each other and delivers the output accordant with the difference between both count values.
