PURPOSE:To prevent surely the scattering of a developer and to obtain an image having good quality by disposing a brush flocked with extra-fine fibers to high density in the space between an image support and housing. CONSTITUTION:The brush 18 is provided between a photosensitive drum and the housing 10. The brush 18 is constituted by arranging and flocking acrylic fibers 18a, which are spun to a twisted fiber shape, onto an acrylic base plate 18b to high density. The photosensitive drum rotates in an arrow (y) direction and the magnetic brush 16 rotates in an arrow 8 direction. As a result, the developer 17 scatters near an aperture 11 but the air flow toward the arrow (x) direction by a fan is blocked by the brush 18 and the scattering of the developer 17 toward the outside of a developing device 14 is prevented. Since the brush 18 is constituted of the hardly expandable or deformable material, the contact of the brush 18 with the photosensitive drum is obviated and the generation of white lines on the copied image is prevented. The image having good quality is thus obtd. |
