Lock for closing orifices in small containers

The invention relates to a lock which has a closing cover (1) for closing orifices in small containers. The box-shaped lock case (7) receiving the latch (8) is formed in one piece with the closing cover (1). The latch (8) has laterally projecting holding projections (28, 29) which yield elastically when the latch (8) is introduced into the case (7) and on which bevelled run-on ramps (30) are arranged. These holding projections (28, 29) engage, after assembly, into lateral recesses (11, 12) of the case (7) and form the front stops of the latch (8) held thereby in the case (7). The elastically resilient behaviour of the holding projections (28, 29) is achieved, for example, in that the latch (8) is slotted in the longitudinal direction in the region of its head, so that relatively long spring legs are formed. The one-piece design of the closing cover (1) and lock case (7) results in a reduced number of individual parts, a simplified assembly and a compact construction. <IMAGE>
