PURPOSE:To enable the diagnosing of a throttle switch with a simple operation, by arranging an idle switch and a full operation switch so as to detect the position of the throttle valve adapted to open and close interlocking the action of an accelerator. CONSTITUTION:A throttle switch 3 comprises an idle switch 31 and a full operation switch 32 so arranged as to detect and output the idle state and full-open state, the output thereof is connected to an ECU 4 and a diagnostic signal from the ECU 4 is outputted from a diagnosis check coupler 5. When the accelerator is not operated, an idle switch on signal is outputted with a idle switch 31 producing an output while when the accelerator is in full operation, a full operation switch on signal is outputted with the full-operation switch 32 producing an output. In this manner, when the idle switch on signal and the full operation switch on signal are outputted, the switch 3 is normal. Where there is no trouble but that in the switch, the output of the check coupler 5 gives no signal and thus, any trouble in the switch 3 can be discovered simply. |
