<p>New cephem compounds of the formula : <CHEM> wherein R<1> is amino or acylamino, R<2> is hydrogen, aryl which may have suitable substituent(s), a heterocyclic group which may have suitable substituent(s) or cyano, and R<3> is carboxy or protected carboxy, and pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, processes for its preparation and pharmaceutical compositions comprising them in association with a pharmaceutically acceptable, substantially nontoxic carrier or excipient. The invention also relates to intermediate compounds of the formula <CHEM> and their preparation and intermediate compounds of the formula R<2>-CH=CH-SH.</p> |
